The bright lights of the big city are calling this rural librarian. 🙂
I have accepted the position of Digital Initiatives Co-ordinator for Victoria University of Wellington, starting in December. It means a few changes for me, not the least moving from a small rural Public Library to a large city university Library. It will not mean giving up my country idyll though. We have agreed to a flexible working arrangement where I work from home for two day’s of the week. I think that my new colleagues might be on the receiving end of boxes of fruit, and maybe free-range eggs.
It also may mean a change in my writing here. On the positive side, I will have a whole new scope of materials to draw upon. However, the new employer might have a view on what I blog. At present my boss and workplace are relaxed about my blogging here, but I will need to ask if Victoria has a Social Media policy for personal/professional blogging.
So all in all it is very exciting….
