If you have ever suffered Death By Powerpoint or thought “there must be a better way” when sitting through the 70th slide of a Copyright In Libraries session you may be ready for conversion.
Conversion to Prezi.
Prezi is a cloud based presentation tool which uses zooming and sliding as a feature. It is based around Flash technology. If you like mind maps or visual representations of ideas then Prezi may be a good tool for you.
TED has invested in Prezi and recommends that TED presenters use it. The founder of Prezi won a World Technology Award. It is easy to use and fun to play with. When I asked my Twitterverse how they would describe Prezi, @lewisr3 said,
Prezi provides ability to focus on the parts without losing concept of the whole presentation
which appeals to visual learners like myself.
@deborahfitchett says Prezi
gives more flexibility to presentation[and you] can move out of linear order, skip sections, etc, according to audience.
If you are unsure if you would like Prezi, I will quote Sam from Green Eggs and Ham to you:
“Try it and you may”
I’m not saying you will like it with a fox, but you will save kittens.
